“A protest is when I say I don’t like this. Resistance is when I put an end to what I don’t like.” – Ulrike Meinhof

It is the 70’s, and West Germany is facing its’ most potent societal change after the 2nd World War. Student movements that arisen from France captivated all Europe, and German society was not indifferent to that. There, Rotee Armee Fraktion (RAF) appeared, a group of students who wanted change, took a militaristic turn against West Germany and USA whom they see as imperialist powers. Their aims and attacks were only against government officials and who held power. Despite being a communist militaristic group, they gained abrupt public support and gave birth to which will be remembered as Deutschland im Herbst (German Autumn) with the attacks they made in different parts of Europe, including hijacking planes, bombing embassies, abducting ex-Nazi government officials.
